Mary Frances - Founder/Owner
Mary Frances has been on a mindful journey since 2009, beginning with a 200-hour Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training at Ganesh College of Yoga. Her curiosity and passion for healing led her to study Embodyoga and Mindful Yoga Therapy for Veterans at Newington Yoga Center in 2010, and she completed an additional 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification at Be.Yoga in 2022. Mary is also a Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and an IET Practitioner, bringing her deep understanding of energy and its transformative power into every session.

Rooted in her own lived experiences, Mary’s approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and inclusive. She is a certified Grief Educator through David Kessler’s Grief Educator Training, a Recovery Support Specialist for mental health and substance use recovery, and a SMART Facilitator for YouthRecoveryCT. Her work with several non-profits and mental health agencies throughout Connecticut reflects her dedication to fostering healing, reducing stigma, and supporting individuals on their personal journeys.

Mary’s teaching blends mindful movement, breathwork, meditation, and energy practices. Whether guiding adults through gentle or restorative yoga, offering chair yoga for all abilities, or creating playful, engaging experiences, she creates safe, welcoming spaces where everyone can pause, breathe, and reconnect with their authentic selves. “Yoga and the art of energy saved me. I’m alive today because of it,” Mary shares—an ethos that guides every class, session, and workshop she offers.

Outside of her work, Mary enjoys spending time with her teenage son Ryan, traveling to new places, exploring nature, photography, writing, and reading. She is an aspiring author and speaker who loves storytelling, building community, and encouraging people to smile, breathe, and be themselves.

Mary welcomes all ages, abilities, and backgrounds—EVERYONE is invited to experience the healing power of mindful movement, energy practices, and presence.
